Are you ready?

The Official 2013 Steam Summer Sale Thread

For discussing the Official 2013 Steam Summer Sale. Daily sales, flash sales, regular sales, what games you're buying, what games you bought, how dumb Steam trading cards are, etc.

Just Cause 2 for just three bucks for the next 17 hours. Too tempting for me to resist.

Probably gonna hold onto them so

A. they increase in value once they're discontinued

B. I'm too lazy to try and figure out this marketplace thing.

Picked up Defiance since it was 66% off and I was fairly interested. Haven't seen anything else that caught my eye though. Probably gonna get Rogue Legacy too if I see a good deal.

I'm regretting not getting Sleeping Dogs when it was on the flash sale for $7. Sad

Hopefully it goes on sale again before the Summer Sale ends. Otherwise I'll have to get it for $13.

I found it pretty enjoyable on PS3/Vita not sure how well it plays on PC, also anyone has any recommendations for any games on sale?

Dust: A Furry Game is pretty good for being a furry game. It's a 2d side-scrolling action game - you can do cool combos and stuff and I guess there's a story in there too about some furry people having furry problems. Did I mention it's a furry game? Anyway, it's pretty good so far - I haven't finished it yet.

EDIT: Also, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is on the flash sale for only $3 for the next 3 hours. It's really, really, really good, albeit a bit racist. Get it if you haven't played it yet.

Sleepy Pups is on sale again, if you haven't seen it yet. $6.24 only.

Fortune must favor the foolish. Maybe I should start regretting other games aren't at lower prices.

Also nabbed that Tail of the Dust Elves game. Had no idea what it was before I went to its page yesterday, but my first impression was, "Ooh, this game is pretty aside from those cruddy looking cutscenes." Then my second impression was, "This is a furry game," then my third impression was "But those enemies look pretty cool and that shadowy aligator merchant is pretty awesome."

Always check those metacritic user reviews, folks. Almost ended up buying a terribly unfinished/buggy/has-terrible-tutorials game that somehow passed through greenlight.

Feel sorry for all the people who pushed it into the top 60.

Yeah, it was Towns.

Think I'm just gonna steer clear of unfinished alpha games in general, which I'm seeing quite a few of thanks to Steam Greenlight.

Probably gonna pick up Puzzle Agent since it's only $2.50. Was gonna get SBCG4AP, but it's $14.99 at 50% off on Steam but only $9.99 full-price on Telltale's website. So I emailed them asking if they were going to adjust the Steam price sometime in the future. Wouldn't expect a response until next week.

That's pretty much free at that price point, and I think that's the only time I paid that low of a price for a game.

I've waited until after the sale to download and play any of the games I bought. So this will be me after work tomorrow.

What should I eat first? The spaghetti, the turkey, the soup, the canned meat?

Kenutcky Route Zero's 50% off for the next 40 hours.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/231200

Boy was I ticked when this lost the community poll to Dragon's Lair during the sale. I guess this is, like, delayed justice?

Tell me how that Rogue Legacy game is once you get around to playing it. Seems neat.
